Pomegranate Cosmopolitan
In 2020, I got very heavily into 2 things: craft cocktails at home, and rewatching Sex and the City. 3 years later, I’m over here making my own orgeat and listening to Every Outfit on Sex and the City. Some things never change.
As an over-the-top pomegranate stan, the only thing that can improve the classic cosmopolitan, to me, is to substitute the cranberry juice for the smoother, juicier pomegranate. This cocktail is perfect to throw together for a self-care night or batch on a night when you invite 3 of your closest friends over to wear ridiculous outfits and make outdated observations about relationships.
How to Make a Pomegranate Cosmopolitan
Ingredients
2 oz vodka
1 oz clear orange liqueur (such as triple sec)
1 oz pomegranate juice
1/2 oz lime juice
Sliced or dried limes for garnish
Tools
Cocktail shaker
Cocktail strainer
Martini glass
Instructions
Put your martini glass in the freezer
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all ingredients.
Shake well.
Pour through strainer into chilled martini glass. Garnish with lime and consume immediately.
Pomegranate Cosmopolitan Batched (Makes 8)
Ingredients
2 c vodka
1 c clear orange liqueur (such as triple sec)
1 c pomegranate juice
1/2 c lime juice (about 4 limes)
Sliced or dried limes for garnish
Tools
Pitcher
Cocktail shaker
Cocktail strainer
8 Martini glasses
Instructions
Freeze your martini glasses.
Add all ingredients
Fill a cocktail shaker about half way with ice. Pour ingredients from the pitcher until the shaker is about 3/4 full.
Shake well.
Pour through strainer into chilled martini glasses. Garnish with lime and consume immediately.
Repeat until all glasses are sufficiently full.
