My Most Anticipated Reads This Spring
While this list has 31 books I genuinely recommend, I may or may not favor some of these over others. Some of them are sequels to great books! Some of them have gotten some exciting buzz. A few of them I have already read and think you will also find absolutely delightful.
- I brought Weyward by Emilia Hart along to my solo trip to Paris, and it was the perfect earthy spring read to indulge in with good wine and lots of bread.
- Painted Devils by Margaret Owen is the sequel to Little Thieves, a retelling of the goose girl story by the Brothers Grimm. Iโm a sucker for a folktale retelling, and Owenโs writing has a lovely dark quality.
- I donโt know how Vera Wongโs Unsolicited Advice for Murderers became my first foray into Jesse Q. Sutantoโs writing, but I plan to gobble up the rest of their work immediately.
- Yellowface by R. F. Kuang promises to be a mixture of Disorientation by Elaine Hsieh Chou and Babel by R. F. Kuang, and I AM READY!
